Q. What is the best way to get Portland?

A - From Newark it is a quick flight of about 45 minutes in the air, but it is expensive because United is the only airline flying direct. Portland Jetport is a small airport and a quick 15-minute drive to Old Port. It usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get an Uber. Flying back is also pretty easy. The security lines are usually pretty quick.

B- Driving from the Jersey Shore takes about six hours if you are lucky, but more like seven. I suggest taking the Tappen Zee (AKA The Mario Cuomo Bridge) rather than the GW and take 684 to 84 to 90 to 295 to 495 to 95. It is about 10 miles longer, but USUALLY better with traffic.

A - Friday, June 5th

A - Peaks Island inn. It is a 3-minute walk from the Ferry.

Q. When is the last ferry back after the wedding?

A- 11:55 PM and the one before that is 10:55PM

Q. Can I stay on the Island rather than in Portland?

A - The Peaks Island Inn is the only hotel and has limited rooms, but you can check. It is still the offseason in early June so you can probably get good rates on Airbnb.

Q. What is the weather in early June on the Island?

A - It could be warm, but more than likely the evenings will be very cool.
